Mu’azu Zubairu was Born on 12th August, 1960. Having joined the Nigeria Police Force on 15th March, 1988, he has served in the force for 28 years. He was in the Nigeria Police Academy March 1988 to August 1989.
Mu’azu served in various police departments in various capacities in Administration, Training, and Criminal Investigation including being a Divisional Police Officer and responsible for crime prevention and detection, maintenance of law and order, peace and security of areas of responsibility.
He is an experienced detective having served several years at the Police Force CID and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Nigeria. He specialized in investigation of Fraud, Economic and Financial Crimes, Corruption and Money laundering.
As an experienced law enforcement Trainer, he trained and served at the Nigeria Police Central Planning and Training Unit, Police Staff College, Jos. He has also been involved in local Police Training and development at the United Nations Mission in Bosnia (1998) and Kosovo (1999) in collaboration with the OSCE and other agencies. He also served at Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Training and Research Institute as Assistant Director in charge of Curriculum Development and Planning.
He was Head of Lagos Operations of the EFCC, was Deputy Commissioner of Police, Nigeria Police Special Fraud Unit and the Nigeria Police Airports Command, Lagos. He was recently the Commissioner of Police Administration, Department of Finance and Administration, Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Abuja.
