PORT HARCOURT—Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has berated the All Progressives Congress, APC-led Federal Government, saying the country has been stagnant since the go-vernment came on board.
Speaking during a thanksgiving service at All Saints Cathedral, Bori, Khana Local Government Area, for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers South-East senatorial district, Wike called on the Federal Government to focus on resolving electoral challenges in the country instead of fighting “hate speeches with fluid definition.”
The governor said though he had respect for President Muhammadu Buhari, it will be a disser-vice to the nation to say the APC-led government has not failed Nigerians.
He said the reported fight against corruption was merely a creation to distract Nigerians from the realities of the failure of the APC administration.
Earlier, Senator Olaka Nwogus, who spoke on behalf of PDP candidates for the Rivers South-East senatorial district, said if elections in the area were based on the results from the field, PDP would have won all the seats.
